Learn how to sketch in nature with artist, naturalist, and Friends of Banshee Reeks (FOBR) board member, Suzanne DeSaix.
DeSaix will be conducting a series of Nature Sketching Hikes at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve (BRNP) on the first Saturday of each month, July through October. The hikes are open to members of Friends of Banshee Reeks (FOBR), Virginia Master Naturalists (VMN) in training or certified, and Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy (LWC). The program is free, but registration is required. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with "BRNP Nature Sketching" in the subject line.
We will leave the kiosk at 10 a.m. to walk select trails at BRNP, stopping to observe various flora and fauna and tips for capturing your observations on paper.
No experience is necessary! We'll take the fear out of drawing for beginners and it's a good reason for those who already sketch to get out and refine their observation and drawing skills.
